USOFARI - Uganda Society for Advancement of Radiology and Imaging

USOFARI is a professional association of radiologists and imaging experts in Uganda, founded in 1999. We aim to promote the development and practice of radiology and imaging in Uganda and beyond through collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement.

We have over 100 members from various public and private health facilities in Uganda, and we welcome associate members who are interested in radiology and imaging, such as medical students, residents, and fellows inclusing other radiology and imaging groups/societies, organisations, funders and funders

We have been serving the radiology and imaging community in Uganda for over 30 years. We have organized annual scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars to share knowledge and skills among our members and other stakeholders.

We have also collaborated with other regional and international organizations, such as the Society of Radiography Uganda (SRU), the Pan African Congress of Radiology and Imaging (PACORI), and the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB).

Our vision is to be the leading society for radiology and imaging in Uganda and the region, advancing the field and improving patient care. Our mission is to promote excellence in radiology practice, education, and research. Through collaboration and advocacy, we strive to enhance the professional development of our members and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Uganda.
